HYTeens Broadway at the Park! (A Partnership between Heights Youth Theatre and Cain Park)

We are absolutely thrilled to once again partner with Cain Park to offer a summer camp for teens that are passionate about musical theater. From audition techniques, scene work, character development, choreography and music intensives to interaction with professional actors, directors, tech people and stage managers, we will build a musical revue or a production in this professional setting and culminate with a performance on the Alma stage! HEIGHTS YOUTH THEATRE & LAUREL SCHOOL PRESENT: FUNdamentals!

PLACES EVERYONE! The curtain is rising on a great chance to ﬁnd your theatre “voice.” Through a series of FUN master classes that focus on everything from vocal techniques and how to read music, to solo and ensemble work in acting, song, dance and improvisation, this unique workshop will help you build your own “tool kit” of theatre essentials, as you create your own work! In addition to an ending showcase, we will be joined by special, guest experts in stagecraft, create our own visuals, and learn audition techniques that will connect everything we do over the three weeks. HYT BEHIND THE SCENES (Technical Theatre Camp)
June 8-12, 2020
Want to explore the world of technical theatre? HYT is now offering a *NEW* Technical Theatre camp for students in grades 4-12. During this week-long workshop, students will learn about the process of storytelling through design. Topics covered will include lighting, scenic, costume, sound, and props design) with a final project on the last day that brings these concepts together. This workshop is designed to be hands-on. Students will get to work with a variety of stage lights, costumes, props, scenic elements, and 3-d Visualization Software.
